Not only can they suggest small improvements you can make, they can also point out hidden things you missed that can negatively impact your home value. Realtors would love to boost your home worth as much as you do as if hired, you make up a team with a sole purpose: top dollar for your home. An inspector can save you hundreds, even thousands of dollars by pointing out small problems that can be disastrous in the long run. Interior designers, well, think of it as advanced staging. Serious buyers with very specific criteria has already made an impression, maybe even decision on whether they like/dislike a home 2-5 minutes in. You want your home presented well, highlighting its best characteristics.
Paint. A good wall color scheme can instantly refresh tired outdated walls. It can add room as well especially when changing from dark and drab to light and breezy.
Theme. An alternative to hiring an interior decorator is really figuring out which theme fits your home and sticking to it. A theme gives any dwelling an instant cohesive and put-together vibe.
